Imperial Wharf SW6

This is a brand-new development of a total of 1665 residential units, retail outlets and offices on the riverside and set in its own 32-acre park on the former Imperial Wharf.  The park, which began life with an initial planning application in 1998, has a central tree-lined boulevard, landscaped gardens and a 10-acre landscaped park as well as a riverside walk to the Thames.

The area consists of two, three and four-bedroom apartments and penthouses. There are retail outlets, restaurants and cafes on the ground floor including as the Yi-Ban Chinese restaurant, The Deep seafood restaurant, Memories of India (right on the river), and Saran Rom, a Thai restaurant. Young’s, the local brewery, has opened a new pub, The Waterside and the Wimbledon Wine Cellar now has a branch there. A Marks and Spencer Simply Food has also recently opened.

There are offices on the first floor and residential apartments on the floors above with names like Chelsea Vista, Harbour Reach, Aspect Court, Regency House, Thames Point and Waterside Tower.  The development has 24 hour porters and underground parking facilities.

This former brown-field site, still under development at the time of writing by developer St. George, forms part of the larger Imperial Wharf site on the north bank of the Thames, next to the 1980s Chelsea Harbour development and beyond that to the old Lots Road power station. This is an area of intensive development and all the properties are contemporary. They are ideal for occupants looking for a secluded, tranquil and safe setting for their home.

The apartments are designed to have spectacular views either of the river or the inner gardens and are total state of the art, with modern kitchens with American style fridge freezers and granite work tops and bathrooms for every bedroom, air conditioning, a home entertainment system, cctv and security services.

They suit busy, high-earning professionals who demand exacting standards from their living accommodation, especially as fine dining and food outlets are opening along the Boulevard.

Imperial Wharf has a thriving residents’ association, formed in 2005 and jazz festivals are already taking place in this totally glamorous location.

King’s Road, with its many retail shops of all kinds, including the Christopher Wray lighting emporium, is a short walk away. In 2008, the only retail outlets in Imperial Wharf are for food and wine.
